If a portrait screen is showing content sideways, or a display is upside down, change its Screen Orientation. The setting rotates the player's output by 90, 180 or 270 degrees and takes effect on the screen straight away. Store staff can fix this themselves from Retail Admin, which saves a helpdesk ticket. Allow about 1 minute.

Before you begin

  • HQ Admin: an account with permission to manage displays and devices.
  • Retail Admin: a staff login for the store the display is in.

In HQ Admin

  1. In the left navigation, select Displays & Devices.
  2. Find the display and select its Name, for example Portrait Single. The Display Details tab opens.
  3. In Screen Orientation, choose Not Set, 90 degrees, 180 degrees or 270 degrees. Portrait displays usually need 90 degrees or 270 degrees.
  4. Select Save Changes.

In Retail Admin

  1. In the left navigation, select Displays & Devices → Manage Displays.
  2. Select the display's name, for example Portrait Single.
  3. In Screen Orientation, choose 90 degrees, 180 degrees or 270 degrees.
  4. Select Save Changes.

Verify it worked

The screen rotates within a few seconds. In HQ Admin, the Screen Orientation column in Displays & Devices shows the new value.

Troubleshooting

The screen is still sideways after saving

Cause. You chose the wrong direction: 90 and 270 degrees rotate opposite ways.

Fix. Choose the other value and select Save Changes again.
