Activation is the switch that makes a campaign eligible to play. Until it is on, nothing else — creative, schedules, targeting — has any effect. Deactivating stops the campaign everywhere while keeping everything configured for next time.

Before you begin

  • An HQ Admin account.
  • For a campaign you are activating: creative uploaded or generated for every enabled playlist, and any schedules or targeting rules already saved.

Activate or deactivate 1 campaign

  1. In the left navigation, select Campaigns.
  2. Select the campaign name to open it.
  3. At the top right, next to Status, turn the activation toggle on or off.

To deactivate without opening the campaign, open the row's … menu on the Campaigns list and select Deactivate Campaign.

Activate or deactivate several campaigns

  1. On the Campaigns list, tick the checkbox on each campaign. The checkbox in the header selects every row on the page.
  2. Select Activate / Deactivate Selected.
  3. Confirm the activation or deactivation.
An activated campaign with no schedule runs continuously, and with no targeting rules it plays on every display that carries one of its playlists, in every store. Check the Scheduling and Targeting tabs before you switch a campaign on nationwide.

Verify it worked

The Status text next to the toggle changes, for example from Not Activated to Activated - Not Running or Live. The status dot on the Campaigns list updates too. See How campaigns work: playback strategies, touch-points and status for what each status means. A deactivated campaign drops out of every display's rotation and out of the campaign carousel on mobile store sites.
