Localise campaigns by visitors' reason for visit
If your stores use virtual queueing, you can play a campaign when the people waiting share a reason for visiting. The rule works on the aggregate. When more than a set percentage of everyone in the queue is there for one reason, say 50% for a home loan, the campaign starts on that store's displays.
Before you begin
- Store queueing enabled for the stores concerned — see Enable virtual store queueing.
- Reason-for-visit categories defined — see Add reason-for-visit categories and sub-categories.
- A campaign with creative for the playlists it should play on. Enable every playlist in the store so the campaign plays on all of that store's displays at once when the rule matches.
Steps
- In the left navigation, select Campaigns, then select the campaign name.
- Select the Targeting tab.
- Select Add New "AND" Condition.
- In the first select, choose Queueing / Aggregate Visitor Data.
- In the second select, choose Reason for Visit (Aggregate).
- In the third select, choose the operator, for example greater than.
- Enter the percentage that triggers the campaign, for example
50, and choose the reason for visit it applies to. - Select Save Changes.
- At the top right, turn on the activation toggle.
Verify it worked
Add visitors to the store's queue with the chosen reason for visit — see Add a visitor to the queue manually. When the share of visitors with that reason passes the percentage, the campaign starts playing on the store's displays; when it falls back under, the campaign drops out.
