Schedule a campaign
Schedules control exactly when a campaign appears. A campaign can carry several schedules: a lunchtime promotion every day, a weekend offer, or a rule that plays only while each store is open. Store-hours schedules follow each store's own opening hours. 1 set of schedules applies to every touch-point the campaign is enabled on.
Before you begin
- A campaign with its creative in place — see Add a campaign to play on a digital signage display.
- For store-hours schedules: each store's opening hours and Store Time Zone set on its Store Hours tab — see Update your store's opening hours (Retail Admin).
Steps
- In the left navigation, select Campaigns, then select the campaign name.
- Select the Scheduling tab. The CAMPAIGN SCHEDULING section shows how many schedules are assigned.
- Select Add New Schedule.
- Enter a descriptive name for the schedule, for example
Weekday lunch 12-1. - Choose the touch-point and the playlist(s) the schedule applies to.
- Choose the mode: all day, a specific time range, or based on each store's opening hours.
- Set the start date and time, the end date and time, and the repeat option, for example daily.
- Save the schedule.
Repeat from step 3 for each additional schedule.
Verify it worked
The schedule appears in the table with its Name, Touch Point, Playlist(s), Mode, Start Time and Repeat Option. The count reads 1 Schedule(s) Assigned (or more). Once activated, the campaign plays only inside its schedules and its status on the Campaigns list moves between Scheduled - Live and Scheduled - Not Live.
Troubleshooting
The campaign plays at the wrong time in some stores
Cause. Those stores have the wrong Store Time Zone, or the store-hours schedule is reading opening hours that have not been set.
Fix. Open each affected store, check the Store Hours tab and its time zone, then select Save Changes.
