Manage your availability status
Your status tells the platform whether you can take the next visitor, and it feeds the estimated wait time shown to everyone in the queue. The platform sets some statuses automatically; you set the rest. Changing it takes a few seconds.
Before you begin
- A Retail Admin sign-in for your store — see Sign in to the Retail Admin site (no SAML/SSO), or use single sign-on if your organisation has Integrate single sign-on (SAML) for store staff.
The 3 statuses
| Status | Set by | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Available | You (toggle on), or the platform when you finish serving | You are on shift and free to pick up the next visitor. |
| Serving Customers | The platform, when you pick up a visitor | You are with a visitor from the queue. |
| Unavailable | You (toggle off) | You are on a break, helping someone outside the queue, or finishing your shift. |
When to change it yourself
- Before you log out at the end of a shift — set Unavailable.
- When you help a visitor who is not in the queue.
- When you take a break.
If you are Unavailable and pick up a visitor anyway, the platform returns you to Available when you finish serving them.
Steps
- In the top-right corner of Retail Admin, select your avatar. The menu shows STATUS with an Available toggle.
- Turn Available off to become Unavailable, or on to become Available.
The same toggle is on your Profile page under STATUS.
Verify it worked
The status dot on your avatar changes, and the counts at the right of the STAFF row on the queue page (Available, Serving Customers, Unavailable) update.
