How store data works in Personalisation Hub
Personalisation Hub holds 1 record per store, and everything else in the platform hangs off it: which displays belong to the store, which staff can sign in to its Retail Admin site, which campaigns play there, when its queue opens and when appointments can be booked. Keeping that record accurate is the starting point for every in-store experience.
What a store record holds
Each store under Stores / Branches in HQ Admin has 3 tabs: Store Details, Store Hours and Enabled Features.
| Data | Where it lives | What it is used for |
|---|---|---|
| Store Code | Store Details | The unique identifier for the store. It links Retail Admin staff users to their store and synchronises the store with connected systems such as Google Business Profile and Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). |
| Store Name and Brand Name | Store Details | The customer-facing name shown on the mobile store site, in SMS messages (as ${StoreName}) and in Retail Admin. |
| Address, Suburb, Postcode, State, Country | Store Details (HQ Admin) and Store Profile (Retail Admin) | Localises campaigns and experiences, and gives customers directions. |
| Opening hours, public holidays, time zone | Store Hours (HQ Admin) and Store Hours (Retail Admin) | Controls when the store queue opens and closes and when appointment slots are offered. |
| # of Appointment Slots | Store Hours | How many appointments the store accepts per timeslot on each day. |
| Store Segments and Fixed Store Segments | Store Details (HQ Admin); Store Segments (Retail Admin, variable segments only) | Groups stores so campaigns can be localised to a segment rather than to individual stores. |
| Languages Spoken by Store Staff | Store Details and Store Profile | Lets campaigns target stores by the languages available in store. |
| Enabled Features | Enabled Features tab | Turns on store queueing, store appointments, digital signage and Google Business Profile synchronisation for this store. |
| Connected displays and their status | Stores / Branches list | Shows how many displays are registered to the store and whether they are online. |
Who maintains what
Store data is designed to be validated by the people closest to it. HQ Admin owns the structure; store staff keep the day-to-day facts current.
- HQ Admin adds and deletes stores, sets store codes and names, assigns fixed store segments, enables features and can edit every field.
- Retail Admin (staff tablet) lets store managers and staff check the store profile, update opening hours and public-holiday hours, set appointment slots and choose the store's variable segments under Store Info.
The level of access that store staff and store managers have inside Retail Admin can be adjusted. Email support@personalisationhub.com if you need it changed.
Variable and fixed store segments
Segments are defined once in Company Settings → Retail Settings → Store Segments and then attached to stores.
- Variable Store Segments (for example "Cold Day" or "IPHONE 17 - Out of Stock") can be switched on and off by a store manager in Retail Admin, so campaigns respond to local conditions.
- Fixed Store Segments (for example "Airport", "Metro", "Regional") can only be seen and changed by HQ Admin. Store managers do not see them.
A campaign targeted at a segment plays in every store that carries that segment. See Localise campaigns with store segments.
One source of truth, synchronised outwards
Customers who find the wrong opening hours online arrive at a closed door. The platform is built to be the single authoritative source of store data inside your organisation, with front-line staff validating it continuously. When a store's Synchronise Store/Opening-Hour Data with Google Business Profiles feature is on, updates made in the platform flow to Google after the next synchronisation. Store codes are also the key used to match stores in AEM, which is why AEM customers update codes in AEM first.
Display status
The platform monitors every display registered to a store. The Stores / Branches list shows the connected-display count for each store with a status indicator, so you can see at a glance which stores have displays offline before trading starts. See View a store's network and display status.
