Subscribing in AWS Marketplace gives you the CloudFormation template that builds Personalisation Hub inside your own AWS account. New customers get a 30-day free trial, cancellable at any time. The stack takes around 4 minutes to create.

Before you begin

  • Sign in to the AWS account the platform will run in, with permission to subscribe to Marketplace products and to create CloudFormation stacks that include IAM resources.
  • Decide the AWS Region and the ResourcePrefix — see the pre-installation check-list. Neither can be changed later.
  • This procedure deploys a single-Availability-Zone, single-Region environment. If you need multi-AZ or multi-Region, contact support@personalisationhub.com before you start.

Subscribe in AWS Marketplace

  1. Open the Personalisation Hub listing in AWS Marketplace, or search AWS Marketplace for Personalisation Hub.
  2. Select View Purchase Options.
  3. Review the pricing and terms, then select Subscribe.
  4. For the fulfilment option, choose CloudFormation Template and leave the software version at its default.
  5. Choose the AWS Region to deploy into.

The Region is permanent. Choose the one agreed in the pre-installation check-list.

  6. Select Continue to Launch.
  7. Check the details, then select Launch.

The CloudFormation Create stack wizard opens in your own AWS account with the template already selected.

Create the CloudFormation stack

  1. On the Create stack page, leave the template settings as they are and select Next.
  2. In Stack name, enter a name that identifies the environment, for example ph-staging. Use any length, but no spaces.
  3. In ResourcePrefix, enter a prefix of 15 characters or fewer, all lower-case, with no spaces.
  4. In each of the 3 CIDR fields, enter 0.0.0.0/0.
  5. Select Next.
  6. On the stack options page, leave the defaults and select Next.
  7. On the review page, select the acknowledgement that CloudFormation may create IAM resources.
  8. Select Submit.

The template provisions IAM roles, users, groups and policies for the Terraform-based provisioning and for ongoing operations. They are scoped to this stack and named with the stack name and stack ID prefix so you can trace them.

The ResourcePrefix names every AWS resource the stack creates and cannot be changed afterwards. It must be 15 characters or fewer, all lower-case, with no spaces — for example phstaging2026.
All 3 CIDR fields are set to 0.0.0.0/0 on purpose. IP access restrictions are applied inside Personalisation Hub itself — see Step 7 — Restrict platform access by IP address.

Verify it worked

After around 4 minutes the stack's status shows CREATE_COMPLETE, and its Outputs tab lists EC2InstancePublicURL. That link starts the Installation Wizard.
