HQ Admin users are added by email address on the Platform Set-up page, in one of 3 roles: Admin, Marketing or Helpdesk. Each new user receives an email with a link to set their password. Allow about 5 minutes.

Before you begin

  • An HQ Admin account with the Admin role — saving this page prompts for your Admin password.
  • The Platform Email address (AWS SES Email) shows the status Verified. Until it does, the platform cannot send invitations. See Step 4 — First login and platform set-up.

Steps

  1. In the left navigation, select Company Settings. The Platform Set-up page opens.
  2. In Admin Users (email addresses), Marketing Users (email addresses) or Helpdesk Users (email addresses), enter each email address and press Enter after each one.
  3. Select the Send Email to Newly Added User(s) checkbox.

If you leave it clear, no email is sent and the new user has to use the Forgot password link on the login page instead.

  4. Select Save Changes.
  5. When prompted, enter your Admin password to confirm the change.
The password link in the invitation is valid for 24 hours. After that, the user selects the Forgot password link on the HQ Admin login page to set a password.

Verify it worked

The new email address appears as a tag in the role field you added it to, and the user receives an email from your Email Sender Name (From) with a link to set their password.

Roles

Saving the Platform Set-up page requires an Admin password, so managing users is an Admin task. The sources do not describe what the Marketing and Helpdesk roles can and cannot do.

Troubleshooting

The new user did not receive an email

Cause. The platform email address is not yet Verified, your AWS SES account is still in sandbox mode, or the checkbox was clear when you saved.

Fix. Confirm the status badge reads Verified, then ask the user to use Forgot password on the login page.
