# Update a store's name

> Change the customer-facing name of a store on its Store Details tab in HQ Admin.

A store's name appears on its mobile store site, in the SMS and email messages the platform sends (as the `${StoreName}` token) and in the Retail Admin site its staff use. You change it on the store's **Store Details** tab in HQ Admin. Keep the brand out of the name: the platform already adds **Brand Name** wherever both are shown.

## Before you begin

- An HQ Admin account with the Admin role.

## Steps

1. In the left navigation, select **Stores / Branches**.
2. Find the store, using the text search under **Store Name** if the list is long.
3. Select the store name. The store opens on the **Store Details** tab.
4. In **Store Name**, enter the new name, for example `Bondi Junction`.
5. Select **Save Changes**.

> **Note:** If the store's **Synchronise Store/Opening-Hour Data with Google Business Profiles** feature is on, the new name reaches Google after the next synchronisation.

## Verify it worked

The page title and the breadcrumb show the new name, and the **Stores / Branches** list shows it in the **Store Name** column.
