A mobile store site is a mobile web page that Personalisation Hub generates for every store on the platform. The same site changes what it shows depending on the visitor's context: away from the store, checked in at the store, or standing at a specific display.

## Where the content comes from

Every store site is built from a mobile site template, managed under **Platform Admin → Enabled Features → Mobile Store Sites**. A template defines 3 things:

- The **Mobile Header**, usually the `${StoreName}` token so each store shows its own name.
- A list of menu items. Each is a link with an icon, a URL, a schedule and the visitor states in which it is shown.
- Whether the **Enable QR Code Scanner** option is on, so visitors can scan a display's QR code from inside the site.

The template marked **(DEFAULT)** is assigned to every store and display automatically. You can create more templates and assign a different one to a store, a display or a group of displays in a zone. See [Assign a different mobile site template to a store, display or zone](https://personalisationhub.com/support-centre/mobile-store-sites/assign-a-different-mobile-site-template-to-a-store-display-or-zone/).

## How visitors reach the site

- **The store's QR code.** Each store has its own QR code, downloadable from the store's **Store Details** tab as a transparent PNG for use on print or in-store signage.
- **A display's QR Control code.** When QR Control is enabled on a display, the display shows a QR code. Scanning it opens the store site connected to that display. See [Enable QR Control and set the default QR code settings](https://personalisationhub.com/support-centre/personalisation-and-ai/enable-qr-control-and-set-the-default-qr-code-settings/).
- **Links in messages.** Queue and appointment SMS messages link visitors to the site for their store.
- **Your own mobile app.** The Mobile Store Sites page provides a **Javascript code snippet** for embedding the site in your app, so the in-app journey and the in-store journey use the same content.

## The visitor states

Each menu item is shown only in the states you tick for it. The platform recognises 4 states:

| State | When it applies | Typical menu items |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Away from Store State | The visitor opens the site without being at the store, for example from a link or the store's printed QR code | Directions, opening hours, join the queue, book an appointment |
| Connected Store State | The visitor has scanned a QR code at the store and is checked in | Join the queue, store information, offers |
| Connected Display State | The visitor has scanned the QR Control code on a specific display that has triggered campaigns running | The campaign carousel, display interactions |
| Connected Website State | The visitor arrives at the site from your website | Website-specific links |

A menu item also carries a schedule: **Show 24 hours a day**, or only while the store is open according to its opening hours.

## What the visitor sees

The site shows the header, then a campaign carousel, then the menu. The carousel lists the active campaigns on the display the visitor scanned, each with its banner and, optionally, a call to action button. Which campaigns appear, and in what order, is controlled from **Campaigns** — see [Choose which campaigns appear in the campaign carousel](https://personalisationhub.com/support-centre/mobile-store-sites/choose-which-campaigns-appear-in-the-campaign-carousel/).

When a template has a single menu item and no campaigns are running on the display, the site skips the menu and loads that item's URL straight away. This is how a dedicated concierge kiosk sends every arriving visitor to the queue.
