Before you synchronise stores with Google Business Profile, download a copy of every listing from Google. If a synchronisation changes data you did not expect, you can restore it from this file. Allow about 5 minutes.

## Before you begin

- The Google account authorised to manage your organisation's Business Profile listings.
- A secure place to keep the download, alongside your other store-data backups.

## Steps

1. Sign in to [Google Business Profile Manager](https://business.google.com/) with your organisation's authorised account.
2. In the list of businesses, select the select-all checkbox.Check that every store is selected, including any on further pages.

3. Select the **Actions** menu at the top of the table.
4. Select **Download**, then **Locations**.
5. Choose the store data you want to include and the file format.
6. Select **Download**.
7. Save the file in your secure backup location.

> **Note:** Google's interface changes from time to time. If the menu names differ, look for the option that exports or downloads your locations.

## Verify it worked

The downloaded file opens and contains 1 row per store, matching the number of listings in your Google account.
