Every display keeps a log of its events: when it went offline, when it disconnected, and when its settings changed. When you run hundreds or thousands of screens, this log is the fastest way to work out what happened to a particular one. Allow about 1 minute.

## Before you begin

- An HQ Admin account. Store staff can see the same log for their own store's displays in Retail Admin.

## Steps

1. In the left navigation, select **Displays & Devices**.
2. Select the display's **Name**, for example *Branch Entrance*.
3. Select the **Device Status** tab.
4. Read the log. Each row shows **Date/Time**, **Details** (for example *Your display is offline* or *This device is disconnected*), **Duration**, **Serial Number**, **Asset ID**, **Unique Device ID** and **Diagnostics Summary**.
5. To use an identifier in your MDM/CDM or another system, select the **Serial Number** to copy it.

## Verify it worked

The **Device Status** tab lists the display's events, newest first, with a duration for each offline period.

## In Retail Admin

Store staff can see the same events in the **DEVICE ISSUES LOG** section at the foot of a display's detail page under **Displays & Devices → Manage Displays**.
