# Rename a display

> Change a display's name from HQ Admin or from the Retail Admin staff tablet so it describes where the screen sits in the store.

The display name is what store staff see when a visitor interacts with a screen, so it must say where the screen is: *Branch Entrance*, *Concierge Kiosk*, *Window Left*. You can rename a display from HQ Admin or, for the staff's own store, from Retail Admin. Allow about 1 minute.

## Before you begin

- HQ Admin: an account with permission to manage displays and devices.
- Retail Admin: a staff login for the store the display is in. See [Sign in to the Retail Admin site (no SAML/SSO)](https://personalisationhub.com/support-centre/company-set-up-and-users/sign-in-to-the-retail-admin-site-no-saml-sso/).

## In HQ Admin

1. In the left navigation, select **Displays & Devices**.
2. Find the display, filtering by **Store Name** if the list is long.
3. Select the display's **Name**. The **Display Details** tab opens.
4. In **Display Name**, enter the new name.
5. Select **Save Changes**.

## In Retail Admin

1. In the left navigation, select **Displays & Devices → Manage Displays**.
2. Select **Edit**.
3. In the display's row, open the **…** menu and select **View Display Details**.
4. In **Display Name**, enter the new name.
5. Select **Save Changes**.

## Verify it worked

The new name appears in the **Name** column of **Displays & Devices** in HQ Admin and in the **Display** column of **Manage Displays** in Retail Admin.
